well said neeraj..

they are continuously asking for TTAs (since march 2007) but none is showing
keen interest because of more drawbacks than benefits. only singles who want
to learn something new and have interest in adventure can seek deputation in
TCIL.
one can have different class of experience in Africa. projects mainly
consists of Tele-medicine (video conferencing) already discussed in past.
see below links
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/TTABSNL/surveys?id=1803822

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/TTABSNL/msearch?query=tcil&pos=40&cnt=10

one thing more, one should try different things in life, suffering from BSNL
mgmt. alone is not the only choice you have. ;-))

engineers seeking deputation in TCIL should consult TTAs having experience
in TCIL in past like many guys like me had a blast (i mean enjoyable
movement) in Doha Asian Games in 2006.

but the scenario is all together change this time..in this current
deputation the hosting country is one of the poorest in all regards. so
think twice and take wise decision in consultation with TCIL management.

3a. national Pension Scheme for all

Govt. has introduced National Pension Scheme for all indian citizens. Apart from tax benefits, we can also draw central govt. pension under this scheme. We can join this scheme through some recognised banks and post offices.

Dear friends,

Till date, Direct Recruited employees were facing a limit, arbitrarily imposed by the DDOs that EPF contribution limit by employee will be equal to 12% of Basic+DA drawn by employee.

However, I have gone through the provisions of EPF Act and found an employee can contribute upto 100% of his/her Basic + DA. I gave an option in writing to my SSA's DDO to increase my monthly EPF contribution. It was then observed that in HR package the, EPF limit was fixed as 12% in HR Package and it cannot be varied. However the concerned staff took pain and spoke to IT wing at Pune, where, necessary changes were incorporated after referring the ruling.

Thereafter, now my EPF contribution has been fixed to voluntarily increased of 25% per month.

The Employer's contribution however, remains to 12% of Basic+DA.

Further, the pension contribution can also be increased to 8.33% of Basic+DA in employer's cont instead of existing common practice of Rs 541 per month, which will ensure a good pension amount to us after retirement.

EPF has an interest rate of 8.5% and can be withdrawn under certain specific circumstances.

Submit your willingness through proper channel to the AO (Cash) of your SSA/Unit to increase (1) your EPF contribution upto any limit subjected to a maximum of 100% of Basic + DA and (2) pension contribution from employer's contribution to 8.33% to secure your future.

For any clarification/ reference, contact me.

due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983..

From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:
"Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the
circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2
to the finals, when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD 'Why me?'. And
today in pain I should not be asking GOD **'Why me?' "*

Reply to some of the queries:

1. Dear Mr Anand, At present, the pension contribution is just Rs 541.00 which will make us having a pension of Rs 3250.00 after minimum 35 years of service. I have given option for increasing it to 8.33% as per the provisions of EPS. However the necessary change in HR Package is yet to be incorporated. I am pursuing the case with concerned authorities.

2. Dear Mr Shyam, The minimum contribution by employee is 12% of your Basic + DA which is being done by default in HR package. You can increase this contribution upto 100% of your Basic+DA. The employer contribution is 12% of your Basic+DA. Out of employer's cont, minimum Rs 541.00 is contributed into your pension fund, which as per the provisions of EPS can be increased upto 8.33% of basic+DA. however, the necessary amendment is yet to be carried out in HR Package, for which, case has been taken with concerned authorities.

7. Let's focus more on LICE exam for JTOS
Posted by: "pradip panigrahy" pradip_panigrahy@yahoo.co.in pradip_panigrahy
Date: Sun May 23, 2010 12:19 am ((PDT))

Friends ,
sorry to say but this is d fact that it is looking like everything regarding lice exam for jtos just stopped .
We cant understand why the whole process just stopped

Friends the whole process happeend like this :-

1. Some body has filed a case for execution of the test for LICE exam and then the said court issued notice to BSNL management toconduct exam early. on which the management issued orders for execution of LICE exam and each and every circle came up with advertisements .
2. In the process of legal procedings of the case filed by OJTO's court has ordered BSNL for representing their position and as a result BSNL management first stayed the LICE exam for JTO.
3, Now here the confusion point is that why BSNL management is relating the case of OJTO's with ours since their rectt year and our are quite different and the yearly vacancies for which they will be eligible are quite different from direct recttd TTA's.
4. This implies only one thing and that is BSNL management simply doesnt want the career growth of TTA's .
Here in BSNL excluding TTA's each and every cadre has their own career path as:-

PM's become eligible for TTA exam after 5 years of service .
TOA/TTA/SRTOA  become eligible for JAO exam after 5 years of service .
JTO's become eligible for SDE exam after 5 years of service .

then why this huge disparity for tta's . is this only because we are the only cadre where its members work in different areas starting from PM's to SDE's .

So friends i would like to request all of our friends to find out some legal way where some injunction can be implied on our case forcing BSNL management to conduct exam as early as possible bcoz once it decides to conduct exam after settlement of case then it is going to take lot of time in doing so .

And i afraid to say in that case that we are going to be retired as TTA's only

i agree with pradip mmgt is treating drtta as bounded labour by keeping them away from further promotion intentionally for example in case of punjab there is no ojto waitng list of ofjto mmgt also stayed exam in punjab and other circle where no waiting list persist it is like big hr injustice with drttaa on the other hand bsnl is doing another big mistake by stoping lice process to cover previous mistake done in case of ojto as why bsnl allowed the more people beyond sanction posts and why not punished the guilty officers responsible for this case what is the fault of drtta why they are plying with our future after all i will also urge our chq please find the way for jto lice otherwise we will be lifetime tta if new staff norm comes into effect

What
will be the implication of holding LICE exam late

Friends implication will be very
negative on us as u can find out when u will go through the below mentioned
facts .:-
· Late LICE Exam means we are going to become JTO
very late .And although we are going to get back Rectt year but friends our total years of service will
start from that particular date when u complete JTO phase-1 training .
· And in that course your eligibility for SDE
promotional exam also counts from that particular date .
· And in todays scenario as all of us know that as
the day progresses
Revenue shrinks
Implies profit shrinks
Which ends in shrinking the no of
posts and thus decreases the chances of getting promotion.
YE TO WAHI BAAT HO GAYI KI KARE KOI AUR BHARE KOI , BSNL MANAGEMENT KI GALTI KE WAJAH SE
WHY OUR TTA CADRE IS GOING TO SUFFER AND WHY WE ARE GOING TO BE VICTIMISED .

SO FRIENDS LETS FIGHT FOR TH IN JUSTICE AND FIND SOME LEGAL WAY OUT THROUGH WHICH WE
CAN PRESSURIZE OUR MANAGEMENT TO HOLD THE LICE EXAM AND NOT THROUGH BEGGING AT
THE DOOR AND WAIT KARE KI KAB WHO HAMARI JHOLI BHARDE

10. Disparity Between other even smaller PSU's

My Dear Friends ,

If u will find some time to go through the attachment which is the employment and HR conditions for supervisor ( Diploma holders ) workin in Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited ( Which is i hope going to be 1/10th in terms of total asets, revenue and everything ) , You can find out how BSNL Management is murdering our career prospects .
Let me highlight some points of the attachment :-
1 . In SVJNL if u have entered as at Diploma level the u will be alloted S-3 level.
2. And if u had completed ur AMIE /BTECH which is the qualifying cadre for E-1 level then not only in the departmental competetive exam but in the Open competetive exam also they are allowing Diploma holders with 5 years of regular service as eligibilty criteria .

Then in our case only why there is this disparity can anybody tell me . Friends jab se BSNL main join hua hain tab se ya hamesa sunte hain ki aab ye private hone wala hai aap ko 24 hours responsibilty hain kabhi bhi kam karna padega but has anybody hold the answers that are arising in the minds of thousands of TTA's llike :

1. Broadband TA expenses kaun dega milega bhi ki nahin.
2. LICE exam kab hoga , hoga bhi ki nahin.
