[TTABSNL] REGARDING WAGE NEGOTIATION

 

Dear friends I want to ask something about ongoing wage negotiation . Since april this year it has been going on. I don't think the union has achived a lot so far. Union gave a notice for strike and as a result it was able get six month basic pay when management was asking for four months basic.Which was again a lolly pop because union was demanding 50% of basic or minimum Rs.3000/- which is higher.There was a big difference between the pay we got and the arearer demanded by the union.This thing happened when managements gets time to devide the staffs by issuing abitary order to receive 4 months basics with the help of those unions who has made lot of conspiracy in the past. And BSNL Mgt was able to succeed by simply giving two months more. As you all have seen in case of demands raised by the AIGEJTO mangament again applied the same formula to the SSA Heads to highly circulate among the AIGEJTOs as appplied in case of payments advance pay. So far my knowledge is concerned even the members of the reconised union are not aware of the conspiracy which is going on between the unrecognized union and the management.When any remure circulated by those even our SNATTA members are not aware about the things .Subsequently what will happen employees will be divided and management will go on applying the same formula in case whenever any issue is not being settled with the unions. Then the process of holding election among the unions will become a matter joke nothing else. As you all know management is going to hold the election among the Excutive unions to apply the devide and rule fomula as executives are able to settled their most of the issues. In my opinion I don't know whether it is wright or wrong? We are demanding in comparision with Caol India the point should be noted no other PSU( profit makin psu) has not started even the negotiation process. Another point is BSNL is the only PSU which is facing a very tough competition in the market . Because of which revenue of last fiscal has reduced drastically. There are certain issues which are yet to finalized like ITS absorption issue in BSNL. I never have seen any union has issued a strike notice over this issue including non-executive as wel as executives . Why so ? I think if a strike notice will be served for ITS absorption then the issue may be settled soon. Once the ITS are absorbed they will definitely think what step has to be taken for the betterment of BSNL. Now they are unable to understand the role of Dr.TTAs in BSNL. The NFTE-FNTO are getting the option forms signed by the staffs to prove before the management that they have also majority because most of the BSNLEU members are also signing the option forms. Before such a situation to come BSNLEU should come forward and start discussion with the management to finish the wage negotiation process as early as possible. Once the negotiation process is over we can talk about the service condition reduction and internal examination etc with the management I hope our top level representatives will take of the matter and resolve the issue soon.
