DEAR MR. HAKAM SINGHJI,
IT IS VERY NICE TO SEE THAT ONE OF OUR MAIN ISSUES IS GOING TO BE
SETTLED. MY BEST WISHES R FOR U FOR GETTING THE THINGS DONE. AS THERE IS
DISCUSSION THERE IN THE YAHOO GROUP ON JET OR JE(T), I DON'T THINK THAT
WILL MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE. AS FAR AS JUSTIFICATION FOR EITHER OF THIS IS
CONCERNED, I HAVE FEW FOLLOWING POINTS-
1. AS THE BASIC QUALIFICATION OF TTA IS DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING, IN ANY
CENTRAL OR STATE ORGANIZATION SUCH AS RAILWAYS,PWD ETC THEY R DESIGNATED
AS JUNIOR ENGINEER. IN RAILWAY THEY WERE DESIGNATED AS PWI(PERMANENT
WAYS INSPECTOR)EARLIER IE BEFORE 2000 OR SO. BUT NOW THEY R JE.
2. AS FAR AS NATURE OF WORK IS CONCERN WE R NOT DOING ANY THING LESS
THAN JEs OF OTHER DEPARTMENT OR U CAN SAY WE R DOING THE WORK OF JTO AND
SDEs WITHOUT GETTING ANY RECOGNITION AS WE NOT THE SIGNING AUTHORITY. IF
WE R DESIGNATED AS JEs AND R VESTED SOME POWER OR SO IT WILL DEFINITELY
IMPROVE OUR MORALE AND WORK RESULTING IN THE UPLIFTING OF THE FACE OF
DEPARTMENT.
3. ACTUALLY U CAN DEMAND THE INTERMEDIATE STATUS FOR THE TTAs AS THERE
IN BANKS THERE IS POST OF SPECIAL OFFICERS THEY R BETWEEN OFFICER AND
CLERK.
4. EARLIER IN THE GOVT. DEPARTMENTS THE DIPLOMA ENGINEERS WERE
DESIGNATED AS OVERSEERS, THIS MEANS THAT DIPLOMA ENGINEERS R ENJOYING
THE SUPERVISORY POSTS FOR LONG AND SO THIS CAN NOT BE DENIED IN BSNL
TOO.
5. LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST, IT WILL NOT COST THE BSNL A PENNY.
