Hi Naveen,
only a postpaid customer can avail international raoming(2G or 3G)and the Int. raoming should required to be availed from the customer before going to abd. and his SIM is replaced with new SIM for Int. roaming

Thanks for your kind reply.
I have given 3-4 customer international roaming postpaidsim.In back of sim INTL is also marked but it didnot work abroad.Handset was mostly of N series.So there is no problem related to handset.And customer also done manual setting in network operator selection but result was the same.Is there any other parameter which should be checked then PLZ tell me

BSNL associations, unions protest against management

Ludhiana On the call of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of BSNL associations and unions, members of the BSNL Employees Union, Sanchar Nigam Executives Association (India), All India BSNL Executives Association and Sanchar Nigam Association of TTA held a dharna on Wednesday. A massive rally was organised during the lunch hours in front of the General Manager, Telecom Office of Bharat Nagar in Ludhiana.
The JAC comprises 13 associations and unions of executives and non-executives and they are demanding settlement of ITS absorption issue, merger of 78.2 per cent IDA, immediate procurement of 10 million mobile lines and so on.
Addressing the gathering, JAC convener Balwinder Singh and president M S Dhaliwal said the ITS officers’ absorption in BSNL was a major concern and in spite of assurances given by the Minister of Communication and the BSNL management, the issue was not settled even after 10 years of formation of the body. “Non-absorption of I T S is adversely affecting the day-to-day development and expansion plans of BSNL,†they said.
The agitated members said regarding the matters of equipment procurement and merger of 78.2 per cent IDA, the assurances given by the MOC were being violated. “Immediately after the 3G spectrum auctioning was over, BSNL hurriedly paid Rs 10,700 crore as spectrum charge to the government. The BSNL had no reason to pay such a huge amount, since, it did not participate in the bidding. It had every reason to claim for a waiver orconcession. The management cannot be allowed to throw away BSNL’s cash reserve in such a reckless manner. Again, the management might pay nearly Rs 13,000 crore to Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) as spectrum charges, for which bidding has concluded. After this, BSNL’s pocket will be empty,†they said.
JAC Secretary Raj Kumar, while addressing the gathering, said the Sam Pitroda panel recommendation, to give retirement to one lakh employees through VRS, will badly affect the livelihood of lakhs employees. Com Hakam Singh, CS SNATTA, condemned the UPA government and BSNL management for non-implementation of DPE orders, dated 28 November 2008, for merger of 78.2 per cent IDA. He also demanded immediate procurement of 10 million GSM lines.
Others who addressed the rally included BSNLEU district president Paramjit Singh, BSNLEU Avtar Singh Jhande, SNEA(I) district president Kamaljit Singh Shankar, AIBSNLEA district president Nirmal Singh, AIBSNLEA Baljinder Singh Khalsa and BSNLEU district vice-president Rajeev Sharma.

Arun Sarin may be approached to head Indian telcom
MUMBAI (MarketWatch) -- *Arun Sarin, the former chief executive of Vodafone
Plc (VOD.LN),* may be approached to head the state-run telecommunication
firm Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. , the Business Line reported Saturday, citing
unnamed government sources.
The firm is in discussions with various candidates, including Arun Sarin and
a final decision is yet to be taken, the report said.
*Current Chairman Kuldeep Goyal is scheduled to retire next month* and as
the selection process may not be completed by then, a company executive may
be given the job in the interim, the report added.

1. Can BSNL able to appoint a CEO.
2. Can BSNL take a bold step to fully impliment the recommendations of the
Sam Pitroda committee.
3. Can BSNL give autonomy to new CEO to bring in *his own* *team* for
private sector.
4. Can BSNL change the selection process out of the purview of the Public
Enterprises Selection Board, which will enable it to offer market-driven
salary structure.
IF this can happen, then any thing can happen in BNSL in near
future..........GOOD or BAD
So be hopeful, be alert, be a listener, be a communicator and most important
to be fighter.........

hello friends
after 10 days i opened my yahoo group ,found so much email upon wage by new batchs.
very nice to see such energetic companion.we welcome and appreciate them but in positive manner.
this is disappointing to see blames and resign.we should avoid it.
we need fighter,not divider.
we need doer,not talkative persons.
remember our unity is our strength.recognize our foe.
managment never want to give us anything,
never want to promote us.
so my advice to new batch never blame any one.you do't know the imp of snatta.
when we joined the bsnl ,there was no any plateform to raise our issues.
so do everything what you can do but pls do,t blame. and call us when you feel our need.
your senior will stand with you always.
