Decision on 'Maharatna' CPSEs expected soon
The government is likely to take a decision soon on granting the 'Maharatna" status to a few central public sector enterprises, which may include PSU heavyweights like ONGC, SAIL, BSNL, NTPC and CIL.
The proposal to grant more autonomy to these firms has been sent by the Department of Public Enterprises for the Cabinet clearances, sources said.
"The proposal is expected to come up for consideration of the Cabinet soon,," an official told PTI.
The coveted tag would give the central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) greater autonomy to forge joint ventures, float overseas arms and the freedom to decide on mergers and acquisitions of a particular size.
'Maharatna' companies may be allowed to make investment decisions of up to Rs 5,000 crore without having to go to the government for approval.
However, only a few CPSEs may qualify for strict criteria under consideration. These may include Rs 30,000 crore or more turnover and at least Rs 5,000 crore net profit in the past three years, besides an average net worth of Rs 15,000 crore.
At present, the boards of 18 'Navaratna' CPSEs, including ONGC, BHEL, CIL, GAIL and NTPC, have the powers to decide on investments of up to Rs 1,000 crore, beyond which they need approval either from their administrative ministries or the Cabinet.
Besides financial autonomy, the 'Navratna' CPSEs also enjoy other functional freedom in respect of recruitment, promotion, and service conditions employees.

-steps for cdma 20001x vpn
1. program router.
i. connect the router using USB cable.
ii. open PST TOOL ( I can mail you if you want) . insert MDN etc. SID /NID not needed, use ID_CPRL_5 . PRL instead.
2. ROUTER Configuration
i. connect through LAN cable.
ii. in internet Explorer give adress 192.168.1.1 (default0
Give user name and password as admin/admin( default)
iii. go to static ip confg. give the router ip as per customer's need. Dont forget to keep CHAP and PAP enabled.
iv. in user id and password window give domain name/child user id ( this to be created by broad band peaple if you dont know to create it) . password will be password if not changed.
v. now once you exit you have to log on to router using configured IP/user id and password.
3. creation of MDN
i. create the MDN along with ESN in your CCn terminal.
4. Checking of domain name.
i. using any USB/PCMCIA modem check availibility of domain name/child user id
in place of 165/165 give that domain name as user name and password as password ( by default it is "password " if not changed)
ii. if it connects means you are reason to cheer about.
BANK NOW CAN ENTER TO THEIR DOMAIN USING ROUTER ALSO.
5. computer confg.
i. in ip confg. give any ip BUT DONT FORGET TO GIVE THAT PARTICULAR ROUTER IP AS GATEWAY IP.
ACTUALLY ROUTER OFTEN AUTOMATICALLE GENERATE RANDOM IP TO PC. SO YOU CAN SELECT GET IP AUTOMATICALLY TOO.
AND AT LAST BROTHER IT IS MOST IMPORTANT PAP(PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION PROTOCOL) AND CHAP ( CHANNEL HANDSHAKE AUTHEN.....)
THOSE ARE PPP PROTOCOL FOR A IP VPN. IT ALLOWS YOUR MDN ie. ROUTER MDN TO ROUTE TO THAT PARTICULAR CUSTOMRR'S DOMAIN INSTEAD OF NIB FROM PDSN.
NOW THINK AND REPLY ME WHERE IS PAP AND CHAP SITUATED ? ALWAYS AFTER YOUR WORK DONE.

The conference will be graced by the presence of Mr VAN Namboodiri GS BSNLEU, Mr SC Mishra Hon'ble CGM Bihar circle, Mr Shahnawaz Hussain Hon'ble MP, Bhagalpur, and MP Araria with many other important dignitaries.
