7a. RCOM Silently Chooses To Charge Customer Care Calls At 50p 3min
Posted by: "Arun Kumar" setia_arun05@yahoo.co.in setia_arun05
Date: Tue Nov 16, 2010 8:03 pm ((PST))

It
seems that as ever one is busy in rolling out 3G Services and MNP,
Reliance Communications has silently started to charge for the calls
made by its customers to the customer care.
From now all calls to customer care at *333 or at 30333333 will be now charged at 50p/ 3 minutes.

In the meanwhile, if you have any complaints regarding network you
can call 198 which will be toll free but for all queries regarding to
offers  and services you will have to call *333 or 30333333 which will
be charged at 50p/3 minutes.

hi,
same happening with IDEA also.
anyone calling 9814012345 will be charged 50paise/ 3 min.
for complaints customers have to call 198.
this shows their crooked mentality in earning revenue by indulging in unfair
practices.
customers are habitual in calling customer care numbers as they are free in
past but now they have start charging.
Private companies always try new ways for looting money from subscribers..

*thank god...!!! BSNL is still surviving and serving the Nation.*

9. CAG dismisses Raja's claims, says 2G licence allotment arbitrary, il

CAG dismisses Raja's claims, says 2G licence allotment arbitrary, illogical

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India of India's (CAG) report on 2G
licence and spectrum allocation has demolished all claims by former telecom
minister A Raja that all his decisions were based on the practices of his
predecessors and on the suggestions of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of
India. Estimating the loss to the exchequer as 1.76 lakh crore due to Raja's
arbitrary and illogical licence allotment, CAG said the entire licence
allocation process lacked transparency and fairness.
"Neither was the first-come-first-served policy of the DoT followed nor were the
recommendations of the regulator followed in spirit. Finally, the issue of price
discovery was over looked", the report said. With this, the report has estimated
the loss of public money and pinned the responsibility of loss to the exchequer
squarely on Raja. It further said that apart from ignoring the advice of the
ministries of law & justice and finance, Raja didn't pay any heed to the
suggestions of the Prime Minister. He also ignored his then secretary telecom,
DS Mathur and member (finance) in the telecom commission, Manju Madhavan.
The report has embarrassed Reliance Communications (Rcom), which the report
cites as a beneficiary of undue largesse in the dual licence issue. "The process
followed by DoT, while introducing access to dual technology to the existing
telecom oprators in India, lacked transparency and fairness. An equal
opportunity was denied to other operators who could apply for use of dual
technology", the report concluded.
The report also identified Swan Telecom, S Tel, Unitech Wireless, Allianz
Infratech, Datacom and Loop Telecom as beneficiaries of the controversial
allotment of licences in January 2008. The report said that 85 of the 122
licences were issued to ineligible applicants. These firms had suppressed facts,
disclosed incomplete information and submitted fictitious documents to secure
the telecom licence and thus, the spectrum.
While Raja often said that the regulator had, in 2007, recommended that 2G
spectrum should not be auctioned, CAG said that along with saying so, it also
said, " in today's dynamism and unprecedented growth of the telecom sector,
entry fee determined in 2001 is not a realistic price for obtaining a licence.
Perhaps it needs to be readdressed through a market mechanism".

Book PG under the head illigle routing of calls.
U wil serve dual purpose by doing so,
1. U will save the customer frm humilation.
2. U will save the revenue loss which is happening to BSNL by illigle routing and termination.
