on normal days OTA rate is @Rs 15.85

but on T/Hs OTA rate is @ 21.15

these rates were decided decades ago & never revised. but as u know the latest wage comittess scraped the idea of OTA then there is no scope of revision as well.

so on T/H one can claim Rs105.75/- or Rs 106/- (21.15 * 5).

here 5 means you need to work for 5 hours only, on T/Hs no need to work for 8 hours.

But if your duty shows 8 hour ( that means there is no other staff in your office other than u who also wants to claim OTA) then you can claim for 8 hours also as there is an upper limit of 30 hours/month.

also if you work on TH and don't want to cliaim OTA then of course you can ask for an P/off holiday in lieu of that. that is much better idea

As per my knowledge OT rate is Rs.20/hour. and for whole day i.e. T/H it is Rs.159(after deducting Re.1 as tax)...anyone with authenticate DATA??as such all PM/TM and me in my exchange are claiming this amount.
