| hello thank u for reply but at another customer premises broadband is already working under same nokia/siemens equipment at anrax there is no problem regarding phone problem so when same modem(may be faulty????!! !! ) came to our main exchange problem persists at even our main exchange and at that time we had also changed splitter with new one and one interesting thing is that modem is directly (bypassing splitter) working good but with splitter both phone line and modem not works waiting for reply KINJAN

Now a days, they have supplied two types of MDF Splitters, Both of them must be inserted and they are not compatible with each other. what people do, they try to insert Rural type Splitter into Urban MDF module. This could be one of the problem. Other wise try to check the line with another company made modem, first at the MDF, then u go to Subscriber's premises.

Most of the complaints are of error 678......and in majority of the cases...either the modem is at PPPoe Mode(Factory default setting in Utstarcom and ITI modem....which some times show error 676 also.) or there is a problem in IP settings or LAN card receiving Zero bytes or Port(Dslam port) is hang at NIB end and is to be reset by some NIB section person.
then there are complaints of DSL/ADSL/Link. My SDE is a bit of Sanki type....he never ask the phone mechanic/line man to visit customer premises to check line problem...he first orders me to go the customer end to check modem ....after that he orders to it at MDF.though usually i am 100% sure that the fault is of line but my SDE always waste my time instead of rectifying the problem at the earliest.... even sometimes he order me to visit again to make sure again whther line is faulty or not...then after wasting my and customer time he sends his lineman.he is sanki cum mantel chap....he was jst a technician.. .who use to rectify TV/Radio.he has not any diploma/degree.
Also there are 5-6 problems daily of PC/Laptop format.
As such BSNL is creating lots of problem itself.the so called "Error 676: phone line busy" and error 678 are due to modem setting.Earlier Huawei Modem were really gud....utstarcom average hai...ITI modem are totally useless... Also the CD which comes with Modem is useless...it doesn't have any Broadband related software so that customer can install their broadband themselves in case of PC format.Thats why i have made my website to make the customer to get knowlegde abt broadband setup on pc/laptop.my website helps me alot.
If we set the modem oin Bridge modem then i have found that after 6-7 months it gets to PPPoE mode automatcally. ..i.e. it gets reset to factory default and gives Error 678.
Nowadays Dslam port are hanging very much.and it is difficult to get reste from NIB end sometimes if the concern person at NIB section is on leave or not present.
Do share your experience too.other TTA friends are also invited to share their experiences
