hi,
The next hearing on JTO lice exam will be on 24-10-2010. so even this management may react positively and submit required information to the court. In this regard all unions have to react uninimously for conducting of jto lice exam. or else the vexed brothers and sisters will not support any union

Dear Brother because SDEs are not able to work on this system rather they don't
want to work as they are busy in their own activities and they could not project
their demands of getting user name for TTAs working under them as they are
supposed to work on the CDR project. So they have their username to show to the
higherups as they are actually working on the system but we only can understand
who is actually working.
So pls donot think about them do your work and hope BSNL get rid of these
peoples soon and read few lines underwritten
"There are two types of groups one who completes the job and one who takes the
credit
so be a part of the first group because there is less competition in that group"
Bye

4. Solar energy to become must for telecom towers.
Posted by: "Bandhan.P.Singh" email13@gmail.com bsnl_chd
Date: Fri Oct 22, 2010 9:17 am ((PDT))

*Solar energy to become must for telecom towers*
*The government will make it mandatory for mobile phone towers to be powered
by solar energy, hoping to cut pollution and tamp down a key driver of
diesel consumption in the country.* But this would raise construction costs
by up to 50% for cellphone operators such as Bharti, Vodafone and Reliance
Communications .

We are working on a new scheme that will support adoption of greener
practices by telecos while rolling out their services for customers,
secretary with the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE), Deepak
Gupta, told ET.
*Over 200 crore litres of diesel are used every year by up to 3,50,000 cell
towers across the country, and their numbers are increasing by the day. *

The solar power initiative for cell towers will help cut the use of noisy,
smoke-spewing diesel gensets in tower operations and prevent flow of
government subsidy on diesel for unintended activities.
A test project on adoption of solar power panels is being carried out in
600 towers. This will be completed by second half of the next year. Based on
the inputs we get from it, the initiative will be rolled out nationally and
a new funding scheme may be worked out, he said.

The new scheme is being spearheaded under the recently launched Jawaharlal
Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) that aims to increase solar power
capacity in the country by 20,000 mw by 2022.

The MNRE has already started discussing the proposal with various
stakeholders and may seek Cabinet approval for the scheme. The ministry
wants to initially ask only the new cell towers to use solar power, but all
existing towers would also be covered under the scheme in phases.

*The country currently has about 3,50,000 cell towers. Each tower costs
about Rs 40 lakh, and the additional cost of installing a 10-kw solar power
panel would be Rs 16 lakh, officials say.* The governments proposed move
may almost double the cost of laying towers. This could significantly impact
the margins for companies already under pressure due to rising spectrum
costs, said an official of a major private sector telecom company, who did
not want to be identified.

While the proposed government scheme will limit direct capital support to
telecom companies to a basic minimum for laying solar power panels, it may
offer soft loans to companies under refinancing schemes of Indian Renewable
Energy Development Agency (IREDA). *Diesel-based electricity is both
expensive costs as high as Rs 15 per unit and polluting. It is in this
situation the solar imperative is both urgent and feasible, said another
government official involved in JNNSM. Companies could recover their full
investment in a span of 10 years, he added. *

hi
At first I am glad to see such interest from one among us. Congrats.Words
like these are the only hope which help us to remain in this company.

With my experience, I think USB modem type, and indoor
type modems are of no use. USB only good for 700 mts and indoor maximum 1 to
1.5 kms!!! from BTS. But outdoor type upto 4 kms. Here we are not selling
USB type , although there is many availabale in our store. Also Indoor too
of very little demand.

What i said is with ICOMM products, who are supplying BTS and customer
end equipments to whole Kerala Circle. I don't know about ur circle.

Also USB type modem is available in market. I saw one , i think it was
a huawei make.

I think these modems will be coming to Your SSA after WiMax get launched in
your SSA. So Wait some more time.

Yet again If you need one , ok i will send you one, but i think it'll be
utter waste for you.

Dear Friends,

This is the time for the TTAs to form an independent identity. Each and every TTA should only be the part of SNATTA and we have to fight at our own for our rights/issues. We all should be organised at each SSA level and should fight at their own without any support from any other union. If we dare for this and can leave our family issue aside to fight for our TTA brother in trouble then we can talk to leave other unions otherwise the whole system will run as it is. We don't want to come out of home even on sundays for the cause of SNATTA and want dharnas/demonstrations also online i.e. On yahoo group only then how our issues will be sorted out? Who will fight for us ?

dear lalit ji
i had mentioned the route cause of all these things in my first mail. which is
no tta is there in core group of any union. so our agendas can not go there by
itself. and for this dual membership with motive of gathering important and key
posts of all the unions at all levels is necessary.

deepak Ji
As i given my views before Goa aic and was expecting some healthy discussion
and concrete solution for funding to SNATTA. but unfortunately i was not able to
come to goa because of ayodhya issue. the result of goa aic was also not as
expected, there was no discussion about union vs association, funding procedure
for snatta, role of snatta in forthcoming verfication, further struggle for 7
year to 5year in jto lice and even though next conference venue is also
undecided. As for as support is concerned we are supporting bsnleu since last 4
year physically, morally and financially but we got adverse results (poor wage
revision, discrimination in NEPP, JTO lice and designation change is still
awaited though we have written agreement with bsnleu perhaps u remember). So i
think we don't have a single point to support bsnleu & i feel winability factor
must not be a criteria to support any union but to support those union which
work for us and at least do something for betterment for TTAs not adverse as
bsnleu did. As for as nfte is concerned, we opposed nfte in the last
verification then how we can expect something from them though they are talking
for ttas because of voting constraints.
