*While everyone knows who the 'Flying Sikh' is,* many wouldn't be aware that
the veteran Olympian, Milkha Singh, got this name in Pakistan in 1960 at a
track event that he never wanted to contest.
* "I didn't want to go to Pakistan to attend the games as my parents were
killed there during the riots after Partition. However, I was persuaded by
the then Prime Minister to go," said the veteran athlete, adding that it was
there he got the title of "Flying Sikh' after he defeated the Pakistan
champion Abdul Khaliq in the 200-metre race. *
Addressing a gathering here today after *receiving the Award of Excellenc*e
at a function organised by the Rotary District 3080, an emotional Milkha
Singh said: "[The PM] told me to bury the past and go to Pakistan ... [He]
felt that since Pakistan had extended an invitation for the event in a
spirit of friendship, it was imperative that I represented the nation," said
Milkha.
Recalling his journey, he said: "I went in a jeep decked up with flowers.
Once we crossed the Wagah border and began our 20-km ride to Lahore, we saw
people lined up on either side of the road to cheer us".
About the race, Milkha recounted that some Urdu paper had then given a
headline, '*Khaliq ki takkar Milkha se - Pakistan vs. India'. *
"*On the day of the race, I was told that around 60,000 persons had
assembled at the Lahore stadium, including almost 20,000 burqa-clad women.
Before the race began, the mullahs (priests) came to conduct prayers and
bless Khaliq", Milkha said. "I stopped one of them and sought blessings from
him by saying that I too am a man of God (khuda ka banda)," he added. *
He said when the race began Khaliq took an initial lead as he was a 100m
sprinter. My strength was my stamina and I overtook him after 150 yards and
won the race by around seven yards", he said, adding that his timing was
20.7 sec, a new world record.
* He said after the race, General Ayub (the then Pakistan President) came up
to him and said: "Milkha, you did not run, you flew." *
"And that's how I got my name", he told the audience.

Dear Bandhan,
I have read the attachements but couldn't understood how u r telling it's date of increment ?
The fixations are made as per date of joining. I understand that the training period is counted only for increment date and experience for any departmental exam, not for anything else.
Let me understood. Tell me from which para of this clarification do u say that it should be date of increment.
Our SSA has started the procedure. We have represented that cases of DRTTAs should be taken first as there is a straight formula of applying first promotion from 2009 or 2010 so First DPC has cleared all the DR-TTA cases.

regarding NEPP dept is considering the date of joining in SSA as promotion date
but not joining.
in our ssa my self got the NEPP on my date of joining in ssa.
in this case sandip is right.

The MNP result is out for the Haryana Telecom Circle
which is very alarming for the entire BSNL Family. We are on a big
negative side in Consumer Mobility Domain too.
Since I am also working in the same domain, I have a close watch on the
expectations of the customers. Below are mine projections for the MNP in Punjab
Telecom Circle if it is to be launched in Jan 2011. I am very
sure, if the management don’t take timely concrete steps, the situation will be
as worse in Punjab.

Alarming bell listed at point 10. In Punjab, a very
big segment fall in this category as subscribers are very much annoyed by
the self activating VAS. When we at CSC move the complaint thru docket system,
its efficiency is about 25 to 30% and generally we got the reply that
"lodge the complaint with customer care". Once the MNP launched in Punjab,
we will surely loose this 23% share.
More suggestions to follow.....

BSNLEU had make an appeal to BSNL recruited TTA's on various point on site. This appeal Shows How important the BSNL recruited TTA is now playing role in this forth coming verification and how he is the KINGMAKER. In past BSNLEU do not appeal to specially any one cadre but now he had do it. So Please be united and Each and every member should convert at least 10 votes from BSNLEU to NFTE then definitely victory is ours.

Campaigning Program & Structure
In order to ensure the victory of SNATTA and NFTE (BSNL) alliance, we
have to arrange campaigning work force. So it has been decided to
nominate 3 RCM and 3 LCM members from each circle and these members
shall be responsible for arranging proper campaigning program in every
SSA during the 5th Membership verification.
1) Single consolidated list of all the SSAs (as per
given format in Excel sheet) for 3LCM and 3RCM shall be nominated to CHQ
on snattachq@gmail.com <mailto:snattachq@gmail.com> by Central
Coordinator through circle-Gmail-ID up to 31.12.2010 positively. Pl
ensure the nomination of active members only.
2) Nominated LCM members will take active participation
in campaigning program in their respective SSA's with the DS NFTE
(BSNL) failure to which may result in loss of LCM seat.
3) Nominated RCM members will take active participation
in campaigning program in their respective circle and will coordinate
with the nominated LCM members during the whole membership verification
failure to which may result in loss of RCM seat.
4) In case of any difficulty at SSA, the problems need
to be communicated to the Circle Secretary for amicable resolution. In
case of any problem our CS may contact with the Central Coordinator.
5) Central Coordinator will coordinate with the CHQ
during the election campaign.
6) In case of inactive participation/irresponsible
behavior in campaigning program by any nominated LCM/RCM members
reported to CHQ, his final nomination after election may be cancelled.

 select  service type= broadband
order type=modify
order subtype=modify
  and  to change a static ip from existing to  new static ip
then  select service type= bb,  ordertype= modify,  sub order type= static
ip change, remaining everything is as usual.
