hi yasin,
dear pls read the instructions carefully while replying.

the sender of the quiz has specifically said to include ur nmae in the attached file but u have put the answer in the mail.

pls follow the rules. give others chance to solve the quiz.

anyway i have solved the quiz on my own (taking 4 mins of time.)

NEW DELHI: Public sector telcos BSNL and MTNL together have Rs 41,471 crore cash on hand as of September 2009, the government said on ThursdayAs per the provisional and unaudited accounts, cash and bank balance of BSNL is 36,392.42 crore and MTNL is Rs 5,078.59 crore, minister of state for IT and telecom Gurudas Kamat said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.

He said the government has received Rs 3,248.57 crore as annual spectrum charges from the access services licence. This is in addition to the upfront entry fee for grant of unified access licence and annual licence fee as revenue share payable by the licensee separately.

The government admitted that BSNL and MTNL are losing market share in mobile segment due to intense competition and entry of new players with aggressive tariff plans.

Market share of BSNL has come down to 13.86 per cent in September from 21.5 per cent in March 2007 while that of MTNL is now 9.82 per cent from 13.39 per cent during the same period, he said.

The minister further said these two are the only operators offering 3G service and have accumulated subscribers 73,133 (BSNL) and 1.29 lakh (MTNL). But the growth in their 3G subscriber base has not been able to offset fall in the overall share in mobile market

MUMBAI: Reliance Communications on Friday introduced 1 paise per SMS plan taking the tariff war to the data front from voice calls.
The Anil Ambani group company today launched a plan under which 1 paise will be charged per SMS and at a monthly rental of Rs 11, Reliance Communications President Mahesh Prasad, said in Mumbai.

Telecom Minister A Raja recently had said that telcos need to bring down SMS rates which are currently at 50-60 paise per SMS.

Other operators are likely to follow suit. Reliance Communications stocks were down 1.54 per cent at 166.30 in the afternoon trade on the BSE.NEW DELHI: Reliance Communications, India's No. 2 mobile operator, on Friday slashed SMS charges, further heating up an ongoing price war in the Indian mobile market.

Reliance said that it would charge customers just 1 paisa per SMS in a new bill plan.

The company also launched another plan where customers can send unlimited text messages by paying Rs 1 a day.

Currently operators charge between 0.5 and Rs 1 for local and national SMSes.
