Dear friends,
What Vikas said is right. But be patient with the service relaxation goal in our mind. The so called 30% fitment is an eye washing only. As per DPE guide lines and Government orders 78.2% DA should be merged with the basic pay as on 01.01.2007. It is applicable to each and every PSU. No need for a bargaining at all in this matter. The Unions have to bargain for percentage of fitment and periodicity only. But in BSNL it has been fixed at 68.8( We won't get any arrear when it get revised to the actual fitment.i.e.78.2%). If we consider this fact then it is crystal clear that actual fitment is 23% only.(as per Rao committee reccommendation BSNL had to give 42% of fitment). Let me explain
Basic pay as on 01.01.2007=1
                    78.2% of 1    =1.782
      30% fitment on 1.782    =(1.782*.3)+1.782
                                         =.5346+1.782
                                         =2.3166 i.e.the deserved multiplication factor is 2.32
        But now 68.8% of 1     =1.688
      30% fitment on 1.688     =(1.688*.3)+1.688
                                          =.5064+1.688
                                          =2.1944 say 2.19
Compare this multiplication factor with the deservrd 78.2% DA merger. Then what is the actual fitment? Please see..
                                   BP  = 1
         BP+78.2% DA merger = 1.782
The agreed mulitiplication factor is 2.1944
Let X be the % of fitment corresponding to the deserved DA merger of 78.2%
     Then,    1.782+X*1.782 = 2.1944
        i.e.       1.782(1+X)       = 2.1944
        i.e.                1+X        = 2.1944/1.782
                                          = 1.23
        Then                 X        = 1.23-1
                                          = .23
        So the actual fitment compared to DPE guide lines,Government ordres and other PSUs we get only 23% of fitment

Any way the agreed 2.1944 should get multiplied with your basic pay as on 01.01.2007 to get your revised basic pay on 01.01.2007. Then upto 31.12.2009 you would get three increments.i.e. cumulative 3 %. This is your current basic. Add 25.3 percentage revised IDA and HRA and perks to get your current total salary.
For eg. my(2003 batch) BP as on 01.01.2007 was 7700.
So my revised BP on 01.01.2007 = 7700*2.1944
                                                 = 16896.88
I get one increment(3%) in 2007.Then BP becomes = (16896.88*.03)+16896.88
                                                                           = 506.91+16896.88
                                                                           =17403.79
I get another increment in 2008.Then BP becomes   =(17403.79*.03)+17403.79
                                                                           =522.11+17403.79
                                                                           =17925.90
I get another increment in 2009.Then BP becomes   =(17925.90*.03)+17925.90
                                                                            =537.78+17925.90
                                                                            =18463.68
This is the current Basic Pay. Revised IDA=25.3%
                        So BP+DA                      =18463.68+(18463.68*.253)
                                                              =18463.68+4671.31
                                                              =23134.99
                          HRA=10% of 18463.68 =1846.37
                           Total Salary                  = 23134.99+1846.37
                                                              =24981
                                      Salary+Perks    = 24981+525
                                                              =25506
Difference between revised salary and pre-revised salary is around 3600 only
But for my SDE it was 16000. I got almost one fourth.

The recognized union may be presenting this as their major achievement, but we all know very well that there is nothing new in this.The management had offered this thing in the very first meeting itself but Namboodiri and company kept dragging their meet at the will of their political masters.If this was to agreed for then why make so much fuss,hue and cry,strike,two day salary cut etc,one may well ask Namboodiri.This is actually a face saver for them.
Any way we should maintain a calm and refrain from sending abusive SMSs or mails to Namboodiri at this stage,Becuase one of the major issue ,ie pay upgradation of TTAs and also the Promotional scale is to be discussed tom-morrow.So hold your anger for the time being and wait for tom-morrows meeting outcome before bursting.We have to carry on with the lame horse for some more time I think.

1. 30% fitment on pay + 68.8% IDA

2. No periodicity will be mentioned. Next wage revision for non-executives will be along with executives.

3. Increase of fitment on 68.8% to 78.2% IDA both for non-executives and executives simultaneously.

4. 3% annual increment

A great start has been made. The next meeting of the committee will be held on 19th November to discuss pay scales and other issues.

I think the major achievement by Mr.Namboodiri & Co.is 30% fitment benifit for all i.e. for non technical cader also.Instead of getting less than 30% fitment, now they will be benifited equally as technical cader.So,that is the major achievement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't canvas to any union because the slogan of SNATTA is " We are neither soldier of NFTE nor soldier of BSNLEU " so don't talk like we are son , father of any union. And don't prove other unions thought, already NFTE peoples said that "SNATTA is a branch of BSNLEU" and we people said that we are not union we are not soldier to anybody except TTAs.
Regarding wage negotiation the management in the first meeting itself said that It will ready to give as much executives got.

I can say this because I had a previelage to be a part of the wage comm meetings.I had given a good long commentary on the meeting I had attended but you seem to forget all.
On 3rd March itself Mr R K BATRA had propsed that the recognised union can sign on the agreement right away,at par with executives,But GS BSNEU insisted that the periodicity should be 5 instead of 10 years,upon which the managment had said that they were ready to write next wage revision simultaneously with executives,in the successive meetings but Nmaboodiri was adamant on his demands.
And what we got?
No periodicity will be mentioned. Next wage revision for non-executives will be along with executives.

we should be brave enough to admit our failures and follies.
We should not hide our head in sand like Ostrich on seeing the enemy.

And where to discuss all the issues other than Yahoogroups?whether it relates to BSNLEU or any other topic.
Yes I can call you or for that matter anyone one because everyone has a phone line,but that would remain between us only So instead of one to one communication we should encourage many to many communication.

And its dirty politics and trade union politics is no different so No FATHER NO SON relation ship exist not for me atleast ,just OPPURTUNISM.Select the winning horse,this time it was BSNLEU,it may be NFTE or FNTO or BSNLEU again.We were kingmakers once,remember,we can be again next time also,let THEM(BSNLEU) not forget this,so always assert what we all can do.

If we cant comments upon Namboodiri in this forum then where my dear?

I thought you were mature enough to learn from your past mistakes,but you haven't,otherwise you would not have jumped into this debate again as who is to decide what is useful and what is useless for this forum.Last time also someone showed you the mirror but you preferred to look sideways I suppose.
We have a saying in hindi "Doodh ka jala chach bhi phook kar peeta hai".You burnt your fingers last time remember and a whole lot of your supporters rallied behind you ,pouring mails of how you have served the TTAs and SNATTA.in Gujrat with the list of your achievements.
No doubt about that dear ,but stop bullying others.You should be heard ,alright but let others also speak their mind.
Without indulging in any cat and dog fight I want to say that:
1.No member should be banned in this group,
2.Moderators may edit or reject the posts,if the language is abusive or derogatory ,otherwise
3.publish all the mails even if its useful or useless
4.do not jump to any conclusion early or pass any judgement or force the same on others.

Because,Yahoogroups is nothing but an extension of the discussions that usually take place in offices,home ,friend circle.Through this group we broaden that circle by including all the members and this would only strengthen the unity,bond and trust between the individuals in association.

And I am not here to time pass and even if I am,then also I believe that I would learn something useful from this platform.

Any way could you please enlighten me on the overall usefullnes of of your recent post regarding excerpts from FNTOs website?

Here comes the great judjement on such a burning topic. There is little doubt that BSNLU has dragged this issue without any point. When Management stopped calling them even for discussion they had to pled for meetings. I am sure Namboodiri and company

failed to acheive anything from this delay.I remember talking to him long back on this issue and he kept saying " A secret understanding has been reached but the same can not be disclosed". I am still puzzled, why to waste time and effort on this kind of struggle?

Moreover Namboodiri and company are aware that today and in future they need TTA to come to power. So exploit this truth.... kam bhi lo aur insure karo ke age bhi kam ho. Delay in wage negotiation was totally unacceptable !!! and I have already conveyed it to BSNLU in my own capacity. A leader is ALWAYS..always answarable to us and no one can stop us in questioning them...

1.Also please do not block messages. 5 of my messages has been blocked so far. This is not a good practice.

This is the calculationof the new basic pay after wage revision. Please correct me if there are errors.

BASIC PAY AS ON 01-01-2007 : RS. 8100/- (FOR DRTTAs Chennai)

DA 68.8%.

SO BASIC PAY ON 01-01-07 AFTER DA MERGER : 8100 + (8100 * 68.8/100)
= RS.13672/-

BASIC PAY AFTER APPLYING 30% FITMENT : 13672 + (13672 * 30/100)
=RS. 17774/-
THIS IS THE BASIC AS ON 01-01-2007.

WE HAVE RECEIVED 3 INCREMENTS SO FAR.

SO BASIC PAY AS ON 01-11-2009 (3% INC PER YEAR): 17774*1.03*1.03*1.03
= RS.19422/-

dear friends,
It feels very annoying to see that we are using the news displayed on BSNLEU portal in case of Wage Revision meetings.We have appointed a very intelligent & responsible member from our association to represent our demands & views on Wage Revision.Then why we are not updating our website from our association's point of view.Why are we not putting up the minutes of meetings from our representative's point of view.This becomes more annoying after seeing the same news on SNATTA & BSNLEU.This is the case with last 02 meetings.It might be possible that due to any personal reasons Sh. Hakim Singh is not able to attend the meeting & represent our views. But in the meeting of 19th Nov which is scheduled to discuss the pay scales please please make it sure to attend the meeting by any of our representative ( if not Sh. Hakim Singh), so that our views can be expressed to the management in a very strong way. This might be a very crucial meting & Please update the minutes from our (SNATTA ) point of view.

stop this discussion because we have to solve many our agenda and at this time we cant do it without help of BSNLEU. OK healthy discussion is always welcome but don't criticize on BSNLEU.the only reason is we are association and they are recognized union.

i think kalyankar want to say that at this time in family type bsnleu is at our Senior position.

as i know kanlyankar is dedicated person towards SNATTA. he always think positive of SNATTA only.

After all we all are SOLDER of SNATTA and every person here think positive of SNATTA only. and this thing continue till next verification.

we have to do as much beneficial as us from BSNLEU we have no choice. and this is the fact. ans
