Dear amit
As We are technical post and group c ( as group a & b have second Saturday leave) so we cant have a second Saturday leave.
if your sdo is not taken the leave, its his choice.
regarding bhupendrakumar's leave case might be understanding between sdo and him i.e. he work other day or he work more time in every day life
in BSNL grass route level all the leave criteria will be taken as understanding level. that means you work today i will work tomorrow irrespective of leave.

Try to persuade your SDE first as wrightly suggested by our friend Mr. Vaghela ,if at all he is not allowing you, then you may proceed for ROG(redressal of grievance) against him but please dont fight you may also approach your local leader for help. Show him clarification letter available on our SNATTA site under Latest cicular/clearification regarding six day working.But remmember BSNL does not works as central govt.It is like a pvt company in practise.

Major Achievement on Wage Revision
In the meeting of wage negotiation held today, 17th November 2009, the following understanding has been reached:
1. 30% fitment on pay + 68.8% IDA
2. No periodicity will be mentioned. Next wage revision for non-executives will be along with executives.
3. Increase of fitment on 68.8% to 78.2% IDA both for non-executives and executives simultaneously.
4. 3% annual increment
A great start has been made. The next meeting of the committee will be held on 19th November to discuss pay scales and other issues.

The recognized union may be presenting this as their major achievement,but we all know very well that there is nothing new in this.The management had offered this thing in the very first meeting itself but Namboodiri and company kept dragging their meet at the will of their political masters.If this was to agreed for then why make so much fuss,hue and cry,strike,two day salary cut etc,one may well ask Namboodiri.This is actually a face saver for them.
Any way we should maintain a calm and refrain from sending abusive SMSs or mails to Namboodiri at this stage,Becuase one of the major issue ,ie pay upgradation of TTAs and also the Promotional scale is to be discussed tom-morrow.So hold your anger for the time being and wait for tom-morrows meeting outcome before bursting.We have to carry on with the lame horse for some more time I think.

Now I think we have to still wait upto aug-2010 for actual implementation of new wage revision because of all formalities like approval from Finance wing, approval from DOT, and finally approval from Ministry Of Communication

India still among most corrupt countries in the world: Transparency International

NEW DELHI: India is still perceived to be one of the most corrupt countries by the transparency international in its annual corruption perceptions. India has been ranked 84th in the list of 180 countries in terms of public-sector corruption, which is perceived to be highly corrupt.
While releasing the list of naming and shaming the world's most corrupt countries, the international watchdog has for the first time recommended that tax havens like Switzerland and Liechtenstein should do away with the secrecy in banking laws.
"Corrupt money must not find safe haven. It is time to put an end to secrecy in banking laws," said the Berlin-based group's head Huguette Labelle.
The bottom five nations were Somalia, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Sudan and Iraq, while the cleanest countries with ranking close to perfect 10 were New Zealand, Denmark and Singapore.
This year developing countries like Serbia, Burkina Faso, Peru and Ghana fared better than India by claiming 83, 79, 75 and 69 spots respectively

hi Naresh,
One of the Simplest way to configure Modem/Router in any PC/Laptop and in
Any Operating system is... Pls follow the steps that i am explaining in
simplest way as possible....
Attach Modem/Router with User's PC/Laptop through LAN card only as USB's
create compatibility problems most of the time and their Driver's are hard
to find.
Go to the Linux's Inbuilt Web browser or look for Google chrome, Firefox or
Opera Web browser.
Type 192.168.1.1 in address bar and press enter.
Then Type Username-> admin AND Password-> admin
(note:-Different Modem/Router makes has different Login details. see their
user manual for Modem/Router Login details)
Find WAN Setup (Internet Setup) in Modem/Router Interface.
Look for PVC Settings VPI / VCI which has values 0 / 35.
If its Not there then EDIT / Change any available values to 0 / 35.
Select PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) in Connection Mode.
In PPP settings Enter username-> User's Broadband Username AND Password->
User's Broadband Password
Apply/Save settings and Logout.
Check if Internet is working in User's PC/Laptop.
if its Ok then Congrats to u..!!!
If its NOT then restart PC/Laptop and Modem/Router review all steps and take
some expert's help.
ALTERNATIVE METHOD.
Configure User's Modem/Router in Any Windows XP PC/Laptop in PPPoE mode as u
normally do.
Make sure that DHCP Server of Modem/Router is Always ON.
Connect it to Linux PC/Laptop. The Net will work as normally.
Simple...!! isn't it..??
Note:- Different Modem/Router makes has different configuration steps so
look for Modem/Router user manual for exact steps.
