Rulings for EPF Contribution:
To increase employee's contribution, refer Section 6 of EPF and MP Act 1952
TO increase pension contribution, refer Para 11 of the Employee's Pension Scheme 1995.

Thanks for the reply.
The reason why I asked this question is " BSNL IS ALREADY CONTRIBUTING @8.33% " as per EPF act(old), where a cap of RS/-6500.00 was applied ( 8.33% of 6500 = 541.).This is the reason why you will get pension of 3250(50% of Max pensionable salary of 6500.)
Our point is "BSNL SHOULD CONTRIBUTE @8.33% OF ACTUAL BASIC AND DA TO PENSION FUND as per modified EPF ACT" .
I think in your place some sensible account officers are there. So I suggest you try to get it implemented. We might convince our DDOs to follow the same.
Revised EPF Pension act is available on EPFO website (Employees' Pension Scheme 1995 - Updated as on 01/10/2008 - Click Here).
We are trying hard to get the same implemented in Jharkhand.
NOTE: ALL FRIENDS MUST CHECK THE EPFO WEBSITE (http://www.epfindia.com) FOR ALL ABOUT EPF CONTRIBUTION RULES.

i have 8 yrs service in BSNL as a TTA and have a rent free connection of land line at my residence (on which subsidized broad band connection is also activated) i have resigned from the service. May i avail the rent free connnection afterwards? OR i will be charged as private party?

i request all those sleepy people who think that one day (after 4-5 yrs from
now) You will become JTO without any fuss.
then my dear friends you are in a fake DREAM.
The level of frustration is getting high everyday especially for 2002 & 2003
batch.

Late, DET late, DGM & GM late (i must be joking now or i might be in a

but friends, its really true that we are really suffers at the hands of
BSNL. And now as *Supreme Court Declared that promotion is fundamental right
* and mgmt already reduced service eligibility to 7 years then who is
stopping the LICE...?? We damn care.. we need our share of Seats. * Its the
Height of Patience. this would be the one of its first kind case in India
where the rank of Junior Engineer (Diploma Holders) didn't get promotion in
8 yrs...!!!

*One and only alternative that comes to my mind right now is... Attack on
the BSNL Mgmnt. through a High end Lawyer who can handle our grievances and
give us result. For this purpose foremost thing is Fund requirement. So
SNATTA body pls give a call for fund collection after consulting with a
lawyer as soon as possible.

i know that some people have now started thinking that we will remain TTA
and they have lost hope and motivation to pursue the case to its logical
end. i again request them to *fight the last battle of your life*....*don't
lower your morale.

So friends ,
let us be united and conserve our energy for the final battle .
Now let us at first do one thing and that is initiate the process of pressurizing the issue on management
and for this cause if we need to go to court then lets take that step early .
As people are saying that BSNL will act autonomously on its policy decisions. this is not exactly true in a democratic country like ours .
And this was already proved in various past instances like SNATTA and BSNLEU are pressing hard for lice exam for so many years but the result was zero until some friend got the order from court for execution of lice exam with deadline .
Another simple example if i exactly remember one of our tta friend got the permission for education leave for 3 years from deptt through court after BSNL denied him for the same .
Then why not we can get this done thorough court .
U must agree with me that BSNL will only act on its own like it did in wage revision , do u think any changes made by BSNL in wage revision structure after intervention by wage revision comittee.
so dont let them make us fools ,Let us say to ourselves that we dont need anything less than lice exam by next month .

The level of frustration is getting high everyday especially for 2002 & 2003 batch.
like pardip said that late JTO lice means Everything LATE. JTO late, SDO Late, DET late, DGM & GM late (i must be joking now or i might be in a Dream. ;-))
but friends, its really true that we are really suffers at the hands of BSNL. And now as Supreme Court Declared that promotion is fundamental right and mgmt already reduced service eligibility to 7 years then who is stopping the LICE...?? We damn care.. we need our share of Seats. Its the Height of Patience. this would be the one of its first kind case in India where the rank of Junior Engineer (Diploma Holders) didn't get promotion in 8 yrs...!!!
One and only alternative that comes to my mind right now is... Attack on the BSNL Mgmnt. through a High end Lawyer who can handle our grievances and give us result. For this purpose foremost thing is Fund requirement. So SNATTA body pls give a call for fund collection after consulting with a lawyer as soon as possible.
i know that some people have now started thinking that we will remain TTA and they have lost hope and motivation to pursue the case to its logical end. i again request them to fight the last battle of your life....don't lower your morale.
one last request... don't depend on somebody else for ending your miseries... Do whatever you can to ignite the FIRE in yourself and others. One and two person can't win the battle for us.. if we all depends upon our GS and President to Hit a SIX on last ball for Win then we are in an Illusion. The Team SNATTA (every TTA) has to contribute and make runs to level the score. i.e, pls give regular feedback and feasible Ideas to the SNATTA upper body. so they can act accordingly and wisely..

hi badan i have read yur comments LICE for direct ttas 2002&2003 .Dear i think we should go through step by step now time has come to wake up SNATTA CHQ to talk in this matter with COM.NAMBBODARI that he should pressurise the mgmt to organize EXAM.IF He is unable to reply SNATTA then CHQ must withdraw his support to BSNLEU after that we should be ready to fight battle alone .

Ballot Papers for the council election 2010-13 has been dispatched to all corporate members of IETE . Any corporate who do not receive the ballot paper by 25th May should contact the Returning Officer Dr(Mrs) Sneh Mohan (email:- mohansneh@yahoo.com) or Secretary General (email:- sec.gen@iete.org).
