It was a pain for all of us to know the status of PF transfer /withdrawal
once it is initiated. We had to wait for a long time and there would not be
any clue of whether transfer would happen or not. But now we have got a
chance to see PF Transfer/Withdrawl status online. The Indian government has
created a web site where we can check the details regarding our PF transfer
/withdrawal. All we have to know is our PF account number given in our
previous office.

PF withdrawal/transfer status.Select the state and the exact place where you
were working previously. Provide the establishment code which is available
in your PF account number. For example if your PF account number is
TN/12345/2003, then your establishment code is 12345. Once you provide this
establishment code in the appropriate place, the name of your previous
employer appears below the column which confirms that you have entered the
establishment code correctly. Finally provide your employee id of your
previous company and then click the "Get Claim Status" to know the status of
your PF transfer /withdrawal.

Dear friends,
As far as the issue related to OD allowance is concerned, nobody is going to pay more that Re 1 per Km if you are showing that you are using your own bike. So the best solution comes out to be that, you can use your own bike for field work, but submit the TA bills with the receipt of some Auto-riksha or taxi to claim TA @ Rs 6 per km.
Secondly, if GSM Mobile Service connection is not provided to you, simply stop attending official calls on your personal mobile.

Dear friend,
the problem is not with the EPF act but it is with the lack of knowledge about various provisions of EPF Act to the DDOs of BSNL. Thus, the only solution remains that every EPF subscriber of BSNL should be fully aware of EPF provisions to safeguard his own interests.
For example:
Do you know that, the maximum employee's EPF contribution may be upto the limit equal to your Basic+DA+DP,
Do you know that your maximum pension contribution from employer's share can be increased upto 12% of Basic+DA+DP.
I dont think any DDO is aware about it, even if they are, they are not disclosing it as they think that their workload will increase.
There are many books related to EPF act in market. Go through them and give options in your SSA to safeguard your future.
