Dear Amit, The same problem is being faced by TTA's & TOA's working as Retailer Managers who are doing survey in the field under "Project Vijay" in Punjab. When the same project was launced in UP East, I think they were given the lumpsum vehicle travelling allowance of Rs.1500/- p.m as incentive. But in Punjab the management made orders to pay TA as per TA rules applicable. So, If person is surveying in rural areas is eligible for TA as per rules, it means 70% of daily and to and fro bus fare and not the bike or petrol expenditure. And if person is surveying local or city area, he is not eligible for common TA rules i.e. 70% of daily and bus fare. According to TA rules : (Please consult your local Accounts Officer) Now, as per TA rules you will have to prepare a daily diary continous for 3 months with kilometer readings of your vehicle, and show it to your local Accounts Officer. They will decide the amount to be paid to you as a fixed incentive in your salary every month. And that rate will continue for minimum of 2 yrs and thereafter you may again do the above process to get the incentive revised. The normal incentive rates for 300 KM running of bike or scooter per month = Rs.185 only.As the kilometers decreases or increases per month as per the average of your daily diary of 3 months, the standard figure of Rs.185/- will flutuate. And once fixed as incentive will continue till next 2 yrs. If confused ask again , if understood then do it.
