If you did not like the designation TTA, then why did you join in the first place? you should be proud whatever you are. Whwt you are now, it is achieved on your own. no body has given you or donated you. It is nice that people or your SDE calls you Broadband Engineer, you might be deserving more than that. But what ever your qualification is you are a TTA, and you can not change it, other wise you could be a JTO or SDE or you could join in some other organisation as some engineer. My point is that we cannot deny that we are TTA, by our own choice. My SDE also asked me once that he should Call me JTO in front of People, but I denied, because being a Technician is not shameful. I do each and every type of job in Broadband section, more than you could think of, but I still call me a technician, because my designation says so.

Nothing to be taken as personnel. But on a public forum like this, don't confuse other with your identity. Hope you got your answer too.

its a globally accepted local designation. People (in Chd SSA) used to call me Broadband Engineer in my area. Even My SDO call me Broadband Engineer, he used to introduce me with subscribers as Broadband Engr.

Technically, We are Junior Engineers (Diploma Holders) and i am looking after the Broadband Section in BSNL, whatever area assigned to me.
SO i think everybody should write Engineer with his name. one thing more, i hate to be called as Technician. And i also dont like TTA as my designation. But i love my JOB.
