In a Internet Leased line, the Upload and Download speed both are same, unlike ADSL or Broadband system, where upload speed is 1/8th of download speed. That means, a person having 256 kbps unlimited Broadband connection will get maximum 34.5 KBps download speed (i.e. 34.5 * 8 = 256 kbps) speed, where as his uplad will be max 34 Kbps. In  any Internet Leased line or lesed line bandwith is same for upload and download system.
Also, Internet Leased line are defined as 1:1 or 1:4 raw line. with 1 Mbps Internet Leased line, subscriber can act like an ISP. Many big universities are having this type of connections. If any subscriber wants to set up mail server or web server, then Internet Leased line is the answer.

some other differences are as follows:-

Lease line Tariff is quite High (in lakhs).

Fault/Complaints in the Lease Line Circuit is attended in the same day (with in Hours) otherwise BSNL will pay charges back to the user (as explained in the terms and conditions of the lease line).

Lease Line is the Highest Revenue Producing Service of BSNL but unfortunately its the highest ignored product by BSNL management.
