| Let's see the merits and demerits of GOVT PSU & Private Merits: - 1) Sense of Security 2) Govt name & Support, 3) Big infrastructure and setup 4) Skilled staff and assets. Demerits: - 1) Due to Govt PSU every one is imposing responsibilities to BSNL which are not profitable and we are bearing loss but we cant discontinue. For burdens we are Govt when it is time to get fruits we are a company. For every process we have to take approval from ministry(which supports Ambani & others), Long process in matters like promotion, payscale revision. It is in front of you. Also when it was time to give arrear of 50% DA Merger long process and ministry gave conditional sanction statting clearly that the govt will not provide any type of funds. It is up to the financial viability of BSNL. SO What kind of Support Har koi aata hai danda mar kar chala jata hai. Telecom mnister changed so our tenders cancelled. 2) Useless Protocols: We cant communicate/ report to our top officers, not even to TDM. What ever the dirty SDO's misfeeds we cant even give an explanation or clarify the matter. Written communication is more worse, We cant even apply for anything w/o proper channel and let it take too long time. and some times not even recomended and forwarded. In Sawai madhopur a TTA applied for Volunteer in RTTC but the application not forwarded by SDE. 3) Corruption: 95 % of the seniorsofficers are making fake bill of expenses. A long chain of commission structure from Top to bottom (Even Group C) Every one who is getting chance and if compares that the benifit to go to HIS Pocket or BSNL, He chooses . . . . .. A SDE found in scam of deisel purchase of about 95000. It is in notice of everyone, File is Stopped. Can It Continue in Private ? ? 4) No work Assesment and What may happen when it is private: 1) Name may change but we will be. What matters about name. 2) The group taking the BSNL will not be small group. 3) Sense of Security:- Every company needs staff to work and do not make big changes. Now also the staff is short. There are less chance that the employees be removed and if removed there are aggrements done by the unions and Govt and suitable aggrements wiil be made. It may launch schemes like VRS and many of aged staff will take VRS. Here a negative point comes In govt as your service increases your reliability increases and in private as your service increeses your burden to the company increeses. One has to proove himself every year and justify his salary. Which seems easy when we are young and difficult when aged. 4) The infrastructure and assets will be as it is 5) Most Imp:- When a govt/management changes, it makes policies and rules the country/company. the growth of nation/Company depends on the policies and decisions taken. when private setup will be there it will take decissions which are profitable and in the interest of company. Many of my friend who are much aware than me are revealing that BSNL ordered this wrong equipment, OLD technology where as private is using this technology etc. etc. This will not happen. 6) Most Imp:- Do you know the basic difference of working in private and govt. In private every one runs for responsibility and in Govt every one runs from responsibility. Just think when every one will run for responsibility what will be the growth. 7) The person giving good results will be rewarded. 8) Corruption may continue but not so open. He will have a fear to be sacked. So the merits will be there and demerits will be removed. What happened when Glaxo taken by Heinz, Arsellor my Mittal, Hutch bu Vodafone, Rainbow by MTS. Due to these Airtel is now have more than 25% of connections. Further i have many examples against private & in favour of Private. It depends on thinking of the manangement. Some management have the policy to Grow with the employee and some squeezs the employees. Just watch and get yourself prepared. Hope for the best and prepare for worst.
