Dear All
From the clippings of various postings in recognised union website, it is understood that the GS, BSNLEU, Mr Namboodiri has met our CMD/other dignitories a number of times related to various demands. But you all will be surprised to note that in no occasion, our TTAs resentments were put up for discussion to the Mgmt. Despite a number of representation are sent to him from various SSA/Circle, and he is very much aware about burning topics of TTAs viz. Revised Pay Fixation problem to new TTAs, and demands for 5 years service relaxation for proposed JTO LICE or allowing the TTAs for LICE based on year of recruitment, he is never intended to pressurize BSNL Mgmt on our demands.
Instead, in our website, it is a mouthpiece of BSNLEU in one posting which says, the recognised union has put up our demand for higher pay scale which was outrightly rejected by Mgmt (21.12.2009), which is not seems to be true, as none of BSNLEU postings shows any points put up on our demand for better pay scale. Had it be their true intention to help us, this point would have been a part of their agenda for any hartal or demonstrations which we could not witness for the last so many years. Also, issue of notification for JTO LICE, made them to ensure TTAs' point of focus is shifted to other side for the time being.
About 30% fitment problems which he projected to Mgmt, he could show comparative study of a TTA who is in the stagnation level and he could not illustrate anything which shows a new TTA who is not gaining much due to revised pay scale or any TM who is going to draw more pay than a TTA, from whom TTA has to extract work, which is unethical.
In view of these, we must understand their real intention of sidelining us and exert pressure/move with them accordingly.

Kapoor, ED (Finance), Chairman, Wage Committee as also Shri Ram Kumar, ED (CN) and discussed about the necessity of increasing the span of payscales and against abolition of uniform and connected allowances. [30.12.2009]MEETING WITH SECRETARY, DOT: - Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, General Secretary, BSNLEU along with Coms. K.R.Yadav, Vice – President and S.C. Bhattacharjee, Treasurer met Shri. P.J. Thomas, Secretary, DOT today, 30th December 2009 and discussed the issues of approval of Promotion policy, 50% IDA merger for BSNL Pensioners, Pension Revision, Removal of anomaly for pensioners retired during October 2000 to July 2001 and also the necessity of immediate purchase order for 93 million lines and grant of Navaratna /Maharatna status to BSNL.
The Secretary, DOT gave a patient hearing and assured to take up the issues for settlement.
BSNLEU leaders met Additional Secretary, Shri.Subhodh Kumar also and discussed the issues.
[30.12.2009]Meeting with CMD BSNL:- Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, General Secretary, BSNLEU, met Shri Kuldeep Goyal, CMD, BSNL on 29th December, 2009 and discussed about the wage revision. General Secretary impressed upon the CMD for increase of the span as also continuation of the uniform and connected advances / allowances which the management wanted to abolish.
CMD, BSNL assured to look in to the matter in a positive way.
Meeting with ED (NB):- Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, General Secretary, BSNLEU, met Shri S.M. Talwar, Executive Director (NB) and discussed the issue of 2 restricted holidays for the industrial staff. ED (NB) agreed to consider the matter favourably.
GS also brought to the notice of the ED (NB) about the practice of ordering towers from private parties by some circles instead of ordering to Telecom Factories. ED (NB) stated that he has issued suitable instructions in the matter.

[23.12.2009] BSNLEU Meets CMD: - Coms. V.A.N. Namboodiri, GS and P. Asoka Babu, AGS, BSNLEU met Shri Kuldeep Goyal, CMD, BSNL on 22.12.2009 and briefed about the wage negotiation and requested that the span of the pay scales should be increased to avoid stagnation and to ensure 30% fitment and promotion to all. CMD patiently heard and assured that he will bring the above matter to the notice of the Wage Committee.
Meeting with Director (HRD) and ED (Finance):- CHQ leaders also met Shri Gopal Das, Director (HRD) and Shri S.R. Kapoor, ED (Finance) who is also the Chairman Wage Committee and demanded that the span of pay scales be increased to ensure 30% fitment and promotion and also to avoid stagnation.
Anomaly Agreement: - General Secretary Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri and AGS Com. P. Asoka Babu met DGM (Estt.) Shri P.K. Misra and discussed about early approval of anomaly committee agreement. He assured to submit the same for approval of Management Committee.
Joint Forum Meets: - Joint Forum of BSNL Associations/ Unions of Executives and Non-Executives met on 17th December 2009 under the Chairmanship of Com. G.L. Jogi, GS, SNEA. Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, Convener presented the details of agenda. After discussion it was decided to meet CMD BSNL, Secretary DoT, Communication Minister on the issues of ITS absorption, pension revision on IDA scales, developmental issues especially tender for 93 million mobile lines etc. regards,

Dear Friends,
As you know after wage revision basic pay of TTA is going to be fixed at 13600.if pay scale is not upgraded then pay loss will be there for TTA who joined on or after 01.01.07. this is first time happening that in wage revision,salary is being deducted and major anomaly is that with difference only single day joining, around Rs. 2000 differance in basic is there in the same cadre and it will be much more when IDA merge with 78.2 %. Juniors(RM/PM) will get more salary than TTA after wage revision.
Recently DMRC revised pay scales, and there basic 6200(pre revised)converted into 14000 (revised) and 7400 into16000. Even indian railway (largest employer in india) has approved upgradation of CDA 5000,5500 into 9300 basic+ 4600 (4200 earlier ) grade pay= 13900(total basic pay). As per recommendation of 6th pay commission only Rs 400 is differance b/w CDA 5000 and CDA 6500 and even indian railway has removed this slightly diffenrance also but here corresponding more than Rs.5000 a huge differance exist.we were waiting more than one year for wage revision,when it came nothing is favour of us. Hike of single rupees is not adding in salary.
Young and dynamic TTA (mosty BE/B.Tech) are totally harassed and disappointed with this pay revision. GS BSNLEU is not taking any interest on this this issue even he did not discussed with BSNL management in last few meetings
about pay upgradation.
i urge sh. Hakam singh ji, member wage negotiation committe from SNATTA and all SNATTA CHQ leaders to make pressure on BSNL management and GS BSNLEU for this genuine demands. I know now a days all potentials of my seniors on
to get 2 yrs relexations in LICE JTO exam. All efforts by leaders are very
appriciable and really it will be a big achivement if we succeed.but
along with we have to fight for justified pay scale for TTA (Back Bone of BSNL) and should appeal in court against great injustice with TTA cadre by BSNL management.

Mr goyal is very much right and why not CHQ collect all the relevent info regarding merger of different pay bands and 6 th CPC recommendations and approach DPE or court as there is no response from labour comm as we are treated TM etc prometee TTAs with less or no qualification.
