Our one subscriber was having 8 Mbps bussiness Plan. But actually he was getting much less speed. When tested at MDF bandwidth lies between 2Mbps to 3Mbps. We have changed 3 ports as directed by bbmpnoc . SNR of the port is 15.5dB. but when port is configured to 8Mbps it falls down to 6.6dB. done every thing that we can do...and forward the complaint to b'lore... after one day they gave us following reply..

Dear sir
we have received a low speed ( customer is getting 1.8 Mbps for his 8 Mbps connection ) complaint from ludhiana.
After analysing, it was found that this DSLAM is connected to MOGA OCLAN. Total 43 DSLAMs are connected to this OCLAN. An average, there are 30 customers from each DSLAM, hence total customer from this OCLAN is (43*30 = 1290 customers )
two more OCLANs are cascaded to this OCLAN each having an average active customers of 200 ( total 400 customers )
hence total customers connected under this MOGA OCLAN are 1290+400 =1690 . and the uplink of this OCLAN is only 100 Mbps ( FE ink ). so, individual average speed of a customer is (100Mbps / 1690 ) = 60 kbps approx.
this is one of the main reasons for low speed complaints from rural areas.
Warm Regards
Aitha Venkatesh
JTO (BB-MP)
NOC, BANGALORE - 5
and problem remain unsolved.... at last subscriber got his BB,... disconnected....

I think all should wait for the judgment. Who are in train on 30th, they have no problem. Who have to depart on 30th after judgment should decide based on the situations in city.
Otherwise in Goa, there will not be any problem.

hi Vikas,
your concern is quite genuine but nobody knew it earlier about verdict. everyone has scheduled their journey and now its no time to back track.
"Ja ke Rakho saiiyann Marr sake na koi"
i am coming with my family including small baby. now i feel its a bit risk but as i am determined to visit Goa so i cant revert. i think that due to Commonwealth games nothing absurd will happen due to high and tight security all around. Moreover, India's prestige is at stake so any untoward incident will be highlighted in the World media.
i guess it may be postponed or any diplomatic decision may be taken.
hope for the best pray for the best and leave the rest to almighty.
it might be possible that if any tense situation come then we may have to extend the conference to another day also. all decision depends upon verdict and aftermath.
i request everyone to come and support the AIC-Goa and make it grand success.
prayers have great powers and i am a firm believer of it.
regards,
Bandhan Preet Singh,
Chandigarh
