i think to discuss about Pay scale is more important than the change of designation....

what we will do of designation JET... when we will have less pay and powers than JE's of other departments...????

all are saying that when we tell our desigantion as JET or JE(T).... it will put good impression on people about us....

then what will be the impression when customer will ask us "JE sir, please arrange to resolve our complain"....

and we will be helpless.... as we have no power to order Phone Machenic and even Clerical Staff....

So according to me we must organise and agitate with priorities as given below:

1st -- To get Pay Scale as per the recommendations 6th pay commission.

2nd -- To Conduct Deptt. Exam under 35% quota for JTO promotion and to reduce service condition 10 to 5 years.

3rd -- To get powers before change of Desigantion.
